GRAND HAVEN BUCS YOUTH BASEBALL
Ages 6+
Announcement: Relaunch of the Grand Haven Young Bucs Baseball Program - Select Teams
Young Bucs Baseball is officially returning as a community-select all-star program for Grand Haven players in 3rd grade and older who are ready for an additional competitive opportunity beyond recreation league baseball.
Our mission is to provide a structured, competitive environment where players develop the habits that lead to long-term success while strengthening pride in Grand Haven baseball.
Program Requirements and Structure
Young Bucs Baseball is not intended to replace participation in local recreation leagues; rather, it is designed to complement and accompany local rec league play. To maintain a strong connection to our local baseball community, participation in a local recreation league—such as TCKL, Lakeshore Little League, or Allendale Little League—is required.
Age Groups: We will field 9u, 10u, 11u, and 12u teams. We will use the USSA age calculator to dictate team placement.

Schedule: The core program runs for four weeks, from June 21 through July 18.
Competition: Teams will participate in the “County All-Star Tournament” hosted by the Fruitport Baseball Club vs other community-select all-star teams. Teams will play approximately 6 to 8 total games.
Cost: The registration fee is approximately $95 per player, which covers the team jersey and hat.
Eligibility:
Must live or attend schools within Grand Haven Area Public Schools.
Must be in 3rd grade or above
Must be registered to play in a local rec league in the Spring
Players MUST have previous experience or currently signed-up for a "kid pitch" division
Evaluation and Placement
We are committed to providing value to every athlete who is interested in the program. All participants will receive formal feedback following their evaluation along with a suggested developmental path.
Evaluation Period: Group sessions and individual appointments will be held throughout April and May.
Team Announcements: Final placements will be confirmed on or before May 26.
Practice Schedule: Teams will practice 3 to 4 times per week leading up to tournament play.
Games: Week 1 of the “County All-Star tournament” consists of 3-4 pool play games, followed by a single elimination tournament in Week 2.
